She is handmade and hand painted in bright Caribbean colors by local craftsmen and painters at Serena’s Art Factory in Curaçao and can be taken home as a delightful souvenir or an original piece of art. u word for ‘big sister’. She represents the eldest daughter of the family, who binds the family together in a loving and caring way. She is a much appreciated female role model in the Caribbean community of today and a very live part of its colorful heritage. Rooted firmly in Caribbean culture, Chichi® was created by Berlin born artist ‘Serena Janet Israel’. The Chichi® definitely has characteristics of the famous Austrian ‘Venus of Willendorf’ sculpture , and the women created by Fernando Botero and Niki de Saint Phalle, but is absolutely a unique personality on her own. This color and symbol stand for warmth and optimism;
two qualities embodied by a true Chichi.

Chichi knows how to shower others with warmth and make everyone feel welcome.
She tries to lead with intentional optimism and allows no space for negativity to take root.

Growing up, she saw much and faced many challenges.
She walked through moments of grief and difficulty
that felt impossible to escape.
Still, time and time again, she chose to rise above,
showing up with arms open to give and strengthen others,
and a heart full of faith,
believing that what seems impossible
is often an open door to unimaginable possibilities.

Warmth and optimism are Chichi’s garments of strength,
and she wears them like a queen.

Yesterday and today Curaçao was cleaning and we are proud to be part of it. 🇨🇼💚

For years, we have believed that caring for our island starts with caring for our direct environment. From regularly cleaning our roads and surroundings to encouraging responsible waste behavior, we believe every small effort matters.

We are grateful for organizations like CURA DOET that continue creating awareness and bringing the community together through clean-up initiatives across Curaçao.

A clean island is not only the responsibility of one organization or the government it belongs to all of us. By not dumping, by keeping our surroundings clean, and by helping each other when illegal dumping happens, we create a stronger and more beautiful Curaçao together.

Let this be another reminder that unity creates impact.
Together, we can set the example. 🌿 In collaboration we are cleaning and building an even better Curaçao together

At the recent golf tournament at Blue Bay Curaçao Golf & Beach Resort, Chichi ® proudly stood as a symbol of excellence, leadership, and unity. ☀️

The main winner was honored with the large purple sparkle Chichi ® trophy as the official showpiece of victory, while also receiving a small replica to take home as a lasting keepsake. The others each received a small Chichi ® designed in the colors of the Curaçao flag: Celebrating achievement, pride, and the spirit of our island.

This is what Chichi ® represents: strength, connection, elegance, and celebrating those who dare to stand out.💜

From paint stained teenage hands to bold, confident strokes… from his teenage years to his young adult years, Jarson’s journey has been something special to witness.🤩

Surrounded by color, warmth, and stories, I feel completely at home. My dress shines, my curves tell a story of strength and pride, because I am a Chichi, a symbol of love, care, and the strong women of Curaçao 💛

We are still glowing from the beautiful energy of yesterday’s launch. It was more than a celebration, it felt like family coming together through art, culture, and connection 💙

Seeing so many of you sharing this moment, laughing, creating, and simply being present… that is what Chichi®️ is all about. Warmth, togetherness, and a colorful heart that brings people closer.

Formerly known as Serena’s Art Factory, we’ve rebranded; but the heart, the creativity, and the colors you love are still right here… just growing even more beautifully.

The entrance to Chichi Garden is completely free, so you can simply walk in and take your time. Stroll around the garden, enjoy the coolness the trees offer, feel the breeze, and let yourself slow down for a moment. It’s a little escape filled with art, nature, and Caribbean warmth.
