This time of year always makes me feel all kinds of feelings - and this year, there is the extra layer of complexity with the dark moments that people in Palestine and Israel, Ukraine, and Sudan are experiencing. I’m finally feeling normal after some rough weeks due to Lyme disease. I never really took ticks seriously … now I do. I’m so happy to be able to make gnomes and paint plants and sell work again. (And go to the beach again.)

Pretty much done with these two big paintings! They took a while. I am still trying to figure out if I like/am good at working large scale but it’s so gratifying to take some photos of the things I’ve been working on the tiny tiny details of for months and months.
