Tate Storey is all smiles with his 40” snook he landed in Stuart. “After dodging windy and rainy weather for the past few weeks, I finally landed this 40” slob on a root beer colored DOA mullet within the first 5 minutes of casting. Lil man, big fish! After fishing obsessed Holden Bollenback, 4, sent a whole blue crab on a knocker rig to this 40+ inch redfish, it was game over. He can’t stop telling everyone he, “finally caught a fish bigger than him and it was a MONSTER red!” Although he has become quite proficient at angling, this is the first fish he reports, “made his muscles hurt.”

When a father reaches out to you with a story like this, it demands to be shared. “He literally reads Florida Sportsman before bed every night,” proud father, Adam Bollenback muses, “If he isn’t out on the water, he can be found practicing his casting in the yard in full on imaginary fishing play- complete with cooler, net and ruler.” Give this kid his own show already! 😂

Who leaves summer snook fishing in Jupiter to go somewhere else to snook fish? Patrick Eichstaedt and his neighbor Bobby Minotti, that’s who. And where did they go? The backwaters of New Smyrna Beach. Patrick exclaimed, “he casted like 6 feet off his board and this beast blew his Hedden top water up like a bomb! You really can’t beat catching these larger fish off of a paddle board! It’s a whole other level of angling.”

“We caught 25 giant Snook in about an hour and a half in Jupiter... drove home and woke up early and caught that beast in the backwaters of NSB!”
