1. Measurement: The flow meter focuses on measuring flow velocity and instantaneous flow, focusing on the measurement process, and is mostly used in situations where flow control is required. It does not focus on calculating the cumulative flow, while the water meter focuses on calculating the cumulative flow;

2. Accuracy: The accuracy of the flow meter is level one, and is used in situations where high accuracy is required; the accuracy of the water meter is level two;

3. Diameter and Application: The caliber of the flow meter is relatively large, is used in industry and pipelines, and can measure chemical substances such as sulfuric acid; the caliber of the water meter is generally below 300 mm, and the water meter is generally used for civil purposes and can only be used to measure drinking water

4. Installation: The flow meter can be installed without stopping water by clamping or inserting; the water meter is a pipe section type, and can only be installed by cutting off the pipe and stopping water.
