Phase-shifting rectifier transformer is used in the rectifier of the converter to convert the voltage at the power side to the required voltage and isolate the rectifier from the power grid, reducing the waveform distortion’s harm to the power network. The multilevel technology of polyphase rectifier circuit and converter is adopted to increase the pulse number of rectifying equipment and improve power factor. Phase-shifting mode includes star angular shifting, meander line shifting, hexagon shifting and triangle shifting. Rectifying pulse number contains 6, 12, 18, 24, 36.

Three phase isolating transformer is mainly used in low voltage distribution system, isolating load from power supply. Distribution system is divided into TN, TT and IT. The first T indicates that the neutral point of power transformer is directly grounded. I indicates the neutral point of power transformer is non-grounded(or grounded through high impedance). The second T indicates that the case of electrical equipment is directly grounded, but have no connection with the power grid of ground system. And N indicates that the case of electrical equipment is connected with the grounded neutral wire of system.
TN system: the neutral point of power transformer is grounded and the case of equipment is partially connected with neutral wire.
TT system: the neutral point of power transformer is grounded and the case of equipment adopts protection grounding.
IT system: the neutral point of power transformer is non-grounded but the case of equipment adopts protection grounding.
In the IT system, isolation transformer can prevent electric shock, protect the connected equipment from insulation damage and make the neutral point isolated.

K-factor ranges from 1 to 50. 1 indicates a linear load(no harmonic) and 50 terribly harmonic environment.
