Mr. Fumio Sakai: 7 years of carving, the craftsman's obsession with his work.
If you have become a car model enthusiast in the past decade or so, you may be unfamiliar with the name "Fumio Sakai". If this is the case, I hope you can remember this name. Mr. Sakai has been committed to model making since the mid-1980s, especially rare sukura patch models. His unremitting production attitude is known as the spiritual core of model making. Here, we will appreciate the seven-year work of Mr. Sakai Fumio, a Japanese hall-level model art master: the 1/10 Maserati "Birdcage".
It is worth mentioning that in addition to the finished product with painting, there is also an unpainted finished product. In fact, these were not two models that were intentionally made from the beginning, but in order to better complete a model, Mr. Fumio Sakai adopted a special production method. He first used the first model as a "practice", and only after a certain part was completed, if he was satisfied, would he start making the same part of the second model (the finished product). In this way, the two models are actually being made at the same time. This method sounds a bit complicated, but it does ensure that the final product is flawless.
