Our upcoming chassis the "Magnus" will feature all magnetic dampening: front shocks, top shock and side tube dampers.

Each part uses magnetic forces instead of messy grease to provide more consistent and easily adjusted dampening force without the need to disassemble anything.

These parts were released individually prior but were engineering to primarily work on this chassis. Refresher info coming soon on these parts.

Tired of messing with washers and other time consuming ways to adjust caster in current chassis offerings?

The "Magnus" features a quick, 3 step process to change caster easily: no teardowns and no lost track time!

Caster Cheat Sheet:

• More Caster: Smoothes out the initial turn-in (less "bite"), but provides massive grip at the apex and pulls harder out of the turn. Perfect for high-speed, sweeping layouts.

• Less Caster: Sharpens the front end for aggressive, instant turn-in. The go-to move for tight, technical RCP tracks.

Being able to make that "one last tweak" before the main is a total game-changer. 🏁

A first of its kind, the Magnus has the ability to change the length of the side links. This allows you to fine tune rear steer during chassis roll. Shorter links = quicker response, more aggressive but more edgy. Longer links = slower response, more stable and easier to drive. Different tracks, tires, and driving styles all want something different. So adjustability isn’t a luxury, it’s performance!

Introducing the Magnus rear pod design.

Engineered with a dampened centre pivot, this system reduces binding and allows the rear pod to stay flatter through corners, delivering a smoother, more forgiving driving experience.

An inverted ball hitch further lowers the rear roll centre, enhancing rear-end stability and keeping the car feeling planted and predictable. The result is improved consistency, greater confidence, and performance you can rely on lap after lap.

Hey everybody! we're very exited to share some pre-production pictures of our upcoming 1:28 RWD chassis, the "Magnus".

This car is from the mind of Kevin Mueller (main author of the MC3 Mini-Z Buying, Tuning & Racing Guide: 2WD Touring Edition and one of the owners behind MC3-WLS).

This chassis has been under development and testing for close to 2 years now with us planning to launch the chassis shortly (stay tuned for preorders!).

Some high level features of this chassis (we will have posts later explaining ALL of the cool design features of the chassis):

- full magnetic suspension; no need for grease anymore!
- unique centre ball pivot / floating socket design
- really low rear roll centre (provides more rear stability; feels nicer to drive/ more planted)
- quick caster adjustability; no need for washers anymore!
- ability to run different length side links (allows tuning; shorter more nimble, longer for more stability)
- ability to place the servo on either side of the chassis

As these are pre-production pics, there are already some changes that were made (e.g. alloy rear motor mount (not pictured here); aluminum shock tower ). We are also in the final stages of deciding which colours to go with.

The car will essentially be 99% CNC machined (except for ball sockets which will continue to be injection molded). This means this chassis will be extremely high precision.
