How to enjoy summer-time bliss in the Swiss Alps...

Come hiking or biking, follow mountain trails and fall in love with the whole summer Alpine experience…

Nendaz is a magnet for hikers who can explore 95km of terraced paths beside the “bisses” or irrigation channels, some of which date back to medieval times. Although they are carved into the mountain, these trails have such a gentle incline that all the family can negotiate them. Some are even classed as suitable for pushchairs.

For those seeking thrills with faster wheels, there are over 200km of mountain bike tracks. Cyclists have numerous options including the Tour du Mont Fort which offers an easy rider version of the Verbier-Nendaz-La Tzoumaz circuit by making judicious use of the ski lifts or the Pro rider tour which avoids all but one lift. The strenuous version has a total of 2,429m climbing and an incredible 3,112m of descent.

Or you can of course just bliss out at the Chalet, breathing the mountain air, enjoying the views, laying in the hot tub...

How to holiday with your family up a Swiss mountain this Summer…


Chalet Enchanteur is the perfect base for a family trip to the Alps this Summer.
The resort of Haute Nendaz in the heart of the Swiss Alps is preparing to rev up for the summer season. There’s outdoor activities set against an amazing Alpine backdrop, along with the chance to chill out completely at the Chalet.
Just a five-minute walk from the Chalet is Haute Nendaz village which transforms from April to October to welcome walkers to over 95km of well-maintained paths. And since the resort has been awarded with a top family- friendly from the Swiss tourist board, many are even pushchair friendly.
Discover breath-taking views during walks through the alpine flora, which also provide any painter or photographer with the perfect subject. For the more adventurous, biking, hot air ballooning and paragliding are right on the doorstep.

CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING

Attention all Cross Country Skiers!!

'…...Although Nendaz is not (yet) famous for its cross-country settings, fans of this sport have not been forgotten...
In Pracondu (Haute-Nendaz), you’ll find two paths in the woods : one is designed for beginners ( 3 km), the other will accomodate more experienced skiers ( 6 km).

Our cross-country paths are thus 9 km long ; their access is entirely free. Parking facilities nearby.

Verbier is a 15 minute ride away from Nendaz village, you can drive from the chalet if you have your car with you, or hop onto one of the regular ski busses from the village.

We love the quick easy ski over into Verbier from Siviez, the buzz at the foot of the lift up into the resort is infectious!

The lift system was recently upgraded, and unlike those of the French Alps, Switzerland’s mountain regulations permit heli-skiing. The topography is dramatic—jagged Alpine vistas and wide powder couloirs speckled with elegant firs and, at the base of the mountain, the twinkling village.
Access to the slopes has never been easier, with Nearly 100 lifts access more than 400km of runs, including some of the best lift-served off-piste in the Alps. The slopes are snowsure and the scenery spectacular, and from the top of the ski area – Mont Fort, at 3330m – the views reach as far as the Matterhorn and Mont Blanc.
