Transitioning from 3D printing to traditional industrial manufacturing brings a whole new set of challenges - and that’s exactly what we’re tackling right now. Each manufacturer has their own machines, methods, habits, and areas of expertise. Every new product also challenges them. Through a back-and-forth process, we’re moving closer to an industrially manufactured version that meets my expectations and specifications.
It’s a very intense phase. Even though the excitement was high from the beginning, it’s only grown throughout the process. Last week, I received the first pre-serial samples, and it’s hard to describe how it felt to unwrap, hold, and assemble them. Seeing, hearing, and smelling the coffee flow out… pure joy.
The plastic parts went through similar development phases. We made slight design adjustments to the cover, and the PP mugs had to be reworked for manufacturability. During this process, we also finalized the Pantone color codes:
• Black is “Good Vibes”
• The three mug ring variants are: “Molten Lava,” “Solar Power,” and “Bright Marigold”
