I've built a snare drum again after a long time. 14"x6,25" chestnut shell with oak and rosewood veneer in a 45° layout. Maple reinforcement rings are installed as well. As bearing edges we chose a rounded outer with a 30° inner on top and a sharp 45° edge on the bottom edge. Satin clear lacquer, double ended beavertail lugs, sticks-saver hoops, REMO heads and a TRICK multi-step throw off are completing this drum.
The customer who ordered that drum is aleady playing a 26"x15" Biit Custom Drums bass drum with the same look. This combo will look great!

Back in 2017, we've built this huge padouk wood drumkit for the Conservatory of Music here in Basel. Now, they needed some add-ons and of course, we fullfilled their wish. This time, we delivered two bass drums with 18"x14" and 20"x16", rack toms with 10"x7" and 12"x8", a 16"x15" floor tom and a 14"x6" snare drum. Same wood, same finish, same hardware. We guess the students their will have some fun... Biit Custom Drums - You dream it, we build it!

Fresh from the workbench and last build for 2024: 14"x5,75" snare drum with a 4,5mm shell made of Sassofrasso wood and 5mm maple re-rings. Segmented oak wooden hoops made by SIGU Drums, doubled ended tube lugs, Trick multi-step throw off and REMO drumheads.
We are sure it will be loved by its new owner...

This huge bass drum will leave our workshop today! It's a 26"x15" 4,5mm thin mahogany/poplar/mahogany shell with an outer rosewood and oak veneer in a 45° diagonal arrangement and matching oak veneer on the BD-hoops. Maple re-rings are installed, too. As bearing edges we cut 30° with 1/8" roundover and large Beavertail lugs and vintage-style claw hooks are completing the classy look of the drum. And yes, it sounds as big as it looks... now, the drum will travel 219km east through Switzerland... safe travels!
