🎨 Did You Know?

Yarmouth Creatives is powered entirely by volunteers! From hanging artwork and greeting visitors to organizing workshops and keeping our creative space running, every helping hand makes a difference.

Today we're shining the spotlight on Selena Crosson, one of our dedicated board members. Selena helps hang our monthly art displays and coordinates our popular Life Drawing sessions. Her creativity, enthusiasm, and willingness to volunteer her time help make Yarmouth Creatives the welcoming community space it is.

❤️ The Heart of Yarmouth Creatives is Our Volunteers

Did you know that Yarmouth Creatives is run entirely by volunteers?

Every class, event, art display, and day-to-day operation is made possible by people who generously give their time, talents, and energy to support the arts in our community.

Pictured here are Virginia Stoddard and Paulette Babin, two of our dedicated Board members. Each month, they spend hours helping to hang artwork for our monthly exhibitions. It's just one of the many behind-the-scenes jobs they do—along with countless other tasks that often go unseen but are essential to keeping Yarmouth Creatives thriving.

To Virginia, Paulette, our Board of Directors, our volunteers, workshop instructors, and everyone who lends a hand—thank you. Your dedication, creativity, and generosity are what make Yarmouth Creatives such a welcoming and inspiring place for our community.

🎨 Now Showing on Our Featured Wall at Yarmouth Creatives! 🌊

This month, we're pleased to present a collaborative exhibition by Ivan Blades and Elaine Howatt.

Rather than showcasing two separate exhibitions, Ivan and Elaine have combined their work to create a unique display featuring fiber art, paintings, and prints. Together, their pieces celebrate the beauty of Nova Scotia's coastline, with many works inspired by our rich nautical heritage and coastal landscapes.

This exhibition is a wonderful example of collaboration—not only between two talented local artists, but also between two different art forms that complement each other beautifully.

It's almost time to bring in your artwork for our August display at Yarmouth Creatives!

Artwork drop-off begins Sunday, July 19 and will continue during our regular open hours through Sunday, July 26 at 2:00 PM.

This is your opportunity to share your creativity with the community and be part of our August display. We can't wait to see what you've been working on!
