Enterprising Women

We’re a group of four—a glass artist, photographer, and two jewellery makers—who have joined creative forces. We share the dream of creating our own jobs in our home town and using our artistic skills to do it. We started talking in 2012. Three years later, we’ve claimed a space on the Yarmouth waterfront. We’re grateful for the people and resources at the Tri-County Women’s Centre, and the Women’s Economic Security Project, who helped us launch our collaboration. We couldn’t have done it without their support. We also want to thank the Town of Yarmouth, the Yarmouth Industrial Commission, and Nova Star Cruises for their generosity. And last but not least, a big thank you to Pleasant Supplies Ltd, who donated the materials and the labour for the kiosk itself. This venture is a true community effort. We’re proud of what we’ve achieved so far. As we look to the future we see possibilities: a business incubator to provide opportunities for more women to realize their dreams and become creative entrepreneurs. We’re at 58 Water Street.
