I don't usually eat a ton of eggs, but in the summer, I go through loads of boiled, either for salads, grab and go snacks for the kids, or deviled eggs.
It's cooler today, so I decided to boil some. Came time to peel, and I was losing my mind. Peeling cooked eggs is very low on my list of things to do. For some reason, today's episode in Andrea Peels Eggs was not a good one. It dawned on me, two mangled eggs in, that I had forgotten to add the secret ingredient. The thing that makes the egg peeling Gods happy. The baking soda. I don't know what the magic is, but the job is about a million times easier with a tablespoon or so tossed into the baking soda. We're talking slipping out of the shells like a Hershey Kiss out of its wrapper.
Will I likely forget the secret ingredient in the future? Chances are yes. Will I curse every second of it, or pass the job onto a boiled egg eater? You betcha!
Do you have an egg peeling trick? Please share- apparently I can use ALL the help I can get!

What's on your menu tonight? Cold plate special over here- one of my favourite summer suppers. We went from a cool 9 degrees C this morning to a balmy, somewhat humid 21 this afternoon.
What do you put on your plate for a cold supper?

Tell me a kid was at my desk, without telling me a kid was at my desk. 😂
I sat down to make some Christmas in July cards yesterday, and this little guy was hanging out on my scribble sheet. I love finding little surprises like this. Definitely put a smile on my face.

Templates/sketches- do you use them to give your creativity a nudge when needed? Let me know below. :)
A- love them and use them all the time.
B- I'll use them if there's a design that I particularly like.
C- Nope- I'd rather use my own ideas.
D- What's a sketch?

I have adhesive sheets, but do you think I can remember where I put them in the Great Craftroom Chaos Cleanup 2026? Of course not. So, the next best thing is Tear Tape. It's basically the same idea, and is so much easier than trying to use wet glue.
I think it's only appropriate that this cup was chosen today ;). The other side is the scarecrow from Wizard of Oz.
(And yes, I did flip it over when I actually cut it). ;)
