The Scarlet Ibis Restaurant & Cabin Rentals: 𝗔 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 On 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗙𝗲𝗯𝗿𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟮𝟴, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗲𝘁 𝗜𝗯𝗶𝘀 𝗣𝘂𝗯 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗱 as we take time to honour and celebrate the life of one of our owners, 𝗧𝗼𝗺, who passed away unexpectedly on December 4, 2025.
Tom was a huge part of the Scarlet Ibis ever since we purchased the property in 2020. Tom (our master electrician!) played a vital role in bringing the building back up to code and helping install our generator system, allowing the Ibis to serve as a lifeline during power outages and difficult times. We will be spending the day with Tom’s family in Courtenay for his celebration of life. Tom will be deeply missed by all of us, and his impact on this place and this community will never be forgotten. Thank you for your understanding and support during this time. The Scarlet Ibis Team
