Final prep is done for my craft sale tomorrow. The sale is from 10a.m. to 2p.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church (4588 Roblin Blvd.) in Charleswood. The sale always has a variety of homemade items and a fabulous bake sale table. The church also makes delicious soups and sandwiches for lunch. Hope to see some of you there!

Looking at last year's craft sale display and brainstorming for this November. It is late August so it time to start making my Christmas cards.

It is the season for weddings and anniversaries, so I thought I would share this photo. Last year I had the pleasure of making this custom designed card for my sister to give to her in-laws for their 50th wedding anniversary. The scripture passage on the card was read at their ceremony. Liza's mother in law Marie and father in law Virgil are the loveliest people and a wonderful example of what all married couple should strive to be. It was a privilege and a pleasure to make this card for them.

So first off I should say I received this card as a gift. Matt and I went to MTC last night to see Million Dollar Quartet - fantastic show - and we were in the lobby waiting to go in when a woman came up to me and handed me this card. She simply said "I hope this brightens your day."
Well at first Matt and I just looked confused and then Matt says to me, "Do you know her?"
"I don't." I replied. Then I looked inside the card and what I saw made me laugh.
Inside was a note that said:
"This card is for you, keep it or pass it along to a loved one. If you would like to join me for a free class, please check out my website or email me about my upcoming card classes."
Well she certainly managed to find someone in the crowded room of theatre goers that loves cards. So my husband chimes in , with his sarcastic look and says, "So are you going to take her class?"
I gave him my best withering stare and simply said "No."
But then I thought what a nice gesture it was and how I don't have many contacts who make cards so I decided I will email her later today and tell her my story and perhaps we can swap ideas.
Life is full of interested moments just thought I'd share one of mine. Have a great day everyone!
