It's the last week of Shawl Month! We've got 2 new kits this week. All kits are 15% off - we've still got some kits from previous weeks too. Come down and get one while they last!

Odessa also just finished another shawl - the KBB Shawl by Brittany Garber of KnotBadBritt. This is such a great crochet shawl pattern! It's a big elongated triangular shawl that's great to wrap around on chilly evenings. The pattern even comes with a chart of when to change colours which is really handy. And the centre spine running down the middle is a really nice detail.

This shawl calls for fi*****ng weight yarn, but Odessa decided to use Mode at Rowan Alpaca Cotton because she's been looking for a excuse to try it out. It's a touch heavier than fi*****ng, but worked well and has a really nice halo to it. It would also look great in variegated sock yarn, Odessa is already planning another!

It's the last week of Shawl Month! We've got 2 new kits this week. All kits are 15% off - we've still got some kits from previous weeks too. Come down and get one while they last!

Mona just finished the new Honey Glow Shawl by Melanie Mielinger. It's a free pattern available here on Ravelry. It's a nice summery shawl with a bit of texture in an asymmetric triangle shape.

If you can knit and purl, you can make this shawl! It's also a great project to relax with in the summer, at the cabin, by the lake, in the garden, on the patio or the couch, wherever you are!

Mona knit this shawl with NEW 50 Cotton Lux. Estelle Yarns is celebrating 50 years as a family-owned Canadian business this year and they've made a few celebratory yarns for the occasion.

Cotton Lux is a softly striping cotton yarn with a touch of sparkle added in. The easy going shape and pattern of this shawl shows it off so well without being overwhelming. 2 balls is enough to knit this shawl - at 15% off these kits are just under $34!

Our Spring Fashion show is approaching fast. The fashion show is always a fantastic event to get some great ideas for your next project and it's a ton of fun!

The Spring Fashion Show takes place Wednesday June 3rd from 6-8 PM. Tickets are $15 each for an evening of fun, fashion, inspiration and of course treats and refreshments!

This Fashion Show will have a focus on lighter weight sweaters and tops, shawls, etc. Of course, the fashion show can’t happen without people bringing us their amazing items to show off.

This is our last month of regular classes until the fall, but keep an eye out for summer workshops and mini classes.

The Coles River Kerchief by Toni Lipsey is an easy to crochet asymmetrical triangle shawl that is so cute! Lace stripes mix with single crochet stitches and a lace edging for a classic easy to wear scarf-like shawl.

Odessa used 2 skeins of Fleece Artist Organic Cottage Socks for this shawl. She used a variegated colour for all the single crochet sections and a matching solid for the lacey sections.

The Everyday Shawl is a favourite at the store, Mona and Odessa have knit at least 6 of them all together. It's a long asymmetric shawl that can wear easily as a scarf. It has instructions for small and large sizes and the pattern talks about how to weigh your yarn to know when to switch from the increase rows to the decrease rows.

Because of its basic shape and stitches, this shawl is a great canvas for creativity. You can add mohair, use as many (or few) colours as you'd like, stripe, colourblocks and more. We've put together a variety of kits with different options.
