It's with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of Clipping Point. We are shutting our doors for good.

We want to take a moment to thank all of you who supported us.

We're really proud of the community we've built around Clipping Point. From the beginners to the seasoned pros, it's been amazing to see all of your projects and the repairs you've been able to accomplish. We've learned so much from all of you, and we hope we've been able to pass on some of that knowledge too.

Thanks again for being part of the Club. We'll miss you all.

Haven’t posted here in minute 😳 We have been so busy over the last month with so many of you booking appointments and using the shop. Thank you to everyone who’s stopped by! 🙌

Next time VIU catches you with a “Hollywood style muffler” remember you can rent our lifts! Joshua rented a lift to replace his aftermarket exhaust with the factory exhaust for his inspection.

Alex was one of the first people to use our shop when we opened last year. Things have changed so much since then but the Type M is as clean as always.

They say it’s not about the destination but rather the journey and the people you meet along the way. There is so much truth to that. People like Alex are the ones that drive us to do what we do.

The car meets might be over but the community is not! Come to Clipping Point and see for yourself.

Aaron spent some time in the shop last week replacing the clutch on his Subie. This is a perfect example of a job made easier with a lift! By no means was it easy but Aaron got it done with the help of some friends.

After having our technician install the engine mount, Jackson bought a Turn 2 membership and came back to install brakes and the lowering springs pictured here. The active suspension made things a little trickier but he got it done and saved a lot of money in the process.

This is Ray and his Acura TSX. Prior to booking space in the shop, Ray expressed concern about his level of mechanical knowledge and skill. He had watched detailed YouTube tutorials but wasn’t comfortable taking things apart and putting them together again.

There are a few jobs that beginners can tackle with relative ease. Brakes are a perfect example. With a few pointers and tips Ray confidently replaced his front rotors and pads.

Meet the G boys, Mark and Rielly. Mark needed to reinstall the OEM headers on his G35 (along with a few other maintenance items). Anyone who has worked on one of these will know how painful the headers can be to work on.

The aftermarket headers he had to remove were much wider and provided little to no working room. Mark was at our shop all weekend (20 hours) and Reilly was right there with him. That’s a real friend!

Because Mark has the Turn 3 Membership, he gets unlimited hours on the lift for the month. This whole weekend only cost him $350 and he still has the rest of the month to use his membership for other jobs! To put that into perspective, $350 might get you 3 labour hours in any other shop.

I admire your patience boys! That was a tough job.
