Dr Lachman brings a unique skillset to Form. He has nearly a decade in experience treating veins and doing Sports Medicine.
Vein treatments are done for cosmetic and medical indications. Treatment of spider veins, small and large varicosities, hand veins, as well as venous ulcers are available. In Manitoba VenaSeal is only available at Form. The VenaSeal procedure delivers a small amount of a medical adhesive to seal the diseased vein, rerouting blood to nearby healthy veins. Consultations for vein treatments include ultrasound mapping.
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) treatments are available for joint injuries, osteoarthritis, ligament, meniscus, tendon injuries and partial tears. Dr Lachman is experienced injecting shoulders, knees, tennis elbow, the achilles tendon and plantar fascia. On site ultrasound imaging is done to aid in diagnosis and treatment.
Prolotherapy is an evidence based treatment that delivers concentrated dextrose into an injured area. The dextrose helps transiently inflame and then stimulate healing and repair of damaged tissues. Prolotherapy is an appropriate therapy for treating ligament, tendon, muscle, joint trauma, osteoarthritis or injury resulting in joint laxity, instability, dysfunction, and pain.
