When it comes to Jewelry, there's nothing better than a variety to choose from. Culture Shock Jewelry came to life 10 years ago as Kat sought to incorporate her love of mainstream fashion and her First Nations culture. Culture Shock proudly sells contemporary and traditional jewelry to people across Turtle Island (North America). We carry jewelry that draws from both Traditional Native American Elements and modern fashion design. A variety of jewelry that uses stainless steel, seed beads, semi-precious stones, mixed metals, leather, feathers and more, Culture Shock Jewelry carries a variet of classic and traditional jewelry. In addition to jewelry, CSJ creates a variety of traditional crafts including handmade; moccasins, dreamcatchers, medicine pouches, keychains, tamarack birds and more. Many designs are brought to life by Business graduate Kat Pasquach, a Cree women with ties from the Mushkegowuk area a member of Moose Cree First Nation. Growing up in Toronto, Kat began making jewelry at a very young age taught by her mother and grandmother, she has over 25 years of experience crafting jewelry. It's probably the weather that has me drawn to colours that bring warmth, but these red agate beads have me in awe. They're so rich and juicy looking 😆

I've been repairing some bracelets from my shop and finally using some beads I've been collecting. But I really just wanted to show these ones off.

I started collecting larger size beads ranging from 12-14mm which are much larger than standard size bracelets. I can't get enough of them. The energy they hold is unreal. I can only imagine the stories and knowledge they hold, secrets from the earth. 🤫

Some beading supplies I've had for years. I'm not just a jewelry maker. I'm a bead collector (hoarder 😅). It's time to finally use these beautiful pieces.

Three types of shells here. All stunning in their own way.

But I've absolutely fallen in love with pink queen conch. This shell is coveted across the globe and a beautiful natural material often found in Indigenous jewelry.

✨️ I've been working on a very special launch of jewelry, that includes some exquisite gemstone bracelets.

These crystals are absolutely stunning. While not all handmade by me, they have been carefully chosen to be in my shop. These bead sizes range from 12mm-14mm in diameter and are not easy to procure.

These are affordable and top quality collector pieces that I've grown attached to, but I know will find a special place in my customers hearts and homes.
