Scarlet's favourite hobbies are riding sandworms and reading, so you can imagine how happy she was to see a beautiful Book Club edition of Frank Herbert's DUNE.
A true first edition of this classic runs five figures, making a book club edition as tantalizing as a tall glass of water on Arrakis.

The bookshop is open until 9pm on Saturdays, hope to see you!

While we were shelving today, we couldn't help but notice how many *new* books are in the used book room! This HANDMAID'S TALE/TESTAMENTS two-volume boxset is hanging out right next to a copy of Jane Austen's PERSUASION, both still in original packaging. A great way to find a bargain, and your new favourite read. 💫📚

Greek myths have been in the news lately, so perhaps you've heard of DAPHNIS AND CHLOE by the writer Longus? This slim edition by Colin McAdam revisits that story for a modern audience on an island only accessible by boat, following our titular young characters and their complicated, budding romance from the perspective of Cupid, Eros, Love Itself.
