ECO WEEK AT THE FARMERS MARKET ๐๐ฟ
Join us for Eco-week - a series of market days dedicated to celebrating conservation, sustainability, and environmental efforts here in Nova Scotia!
Kicking off Eco-Week on June 21st will be:
๐ Nova Scotia - Nature Nova Scotia is the federation of natural history societies and other nature groups in Nova Scotia. Learn more about Nova Scotian wildlife, protected areas, species at risk, sustainable forestry, and urban nature!
Joining us on June 28th will be:
๐ณ Save Our Old Forests - Discover why Nova Scotiaโs remaining old forests matter! Save Our Old Forest will be sharing more information about the ecological importance of Nova Scotian forests over 80 years old. Learn more about the current efforts to help protect this valuable ecosystem.
๐ก Shift - Learn how small changes in our daily life can have a major impact on reducing waste, conserving energy, and protecting valuable natural resources!
๐ Scotian Shores Ocean Warriors - Learn about local shoreline cleanup efforts and the growing issue of plastic pollution in Nova Scotiaโs oceans. Also enjoy handcrafted items made from shoreline objects, like beach glass and other found treasures!
๐ต Next Ride - Explore the future of electric and hybrid transportation in Nova Scotia! There will be electric mopeds available for visitors to try!
๐ถ Live Music - local musician Ethan Craig will be at the market bringing live music to the event!
There will also be free childrenโs activities and crafts available at the market! ๐๏ธ
