Hello 👋🏼 with so many new faces here we thought we should introduce ourselves! We’re Mack and Sue and we’re the designers and makers here at Dihedral!
We are based in Whistler and are a mother-son owned and operated company. We spend most of our time exploring the mountains and our first bag design was a camping backpack for 6 years old Mack, since no companies were making technical gear for children yet (the bag even had a pocket specifically for his toy cars!)
We began Dihedral in 2014 after Sue was inspired by bag designs she saw throughout her travels in Iceland. We work throughout the entire design process together, from looking for months, and sometimes years, for the right material, to going through multiple iterations, prototypes and product testing. Outside of design and product testing, Mack tackles much of the marketing while Sue hand makes each and every bag!! 29 years of practice has certainly made us quite the team 😊
