This morning I got into a fist fight with a duck pond pump.

I was minding my own business, doing chores like a responsible adult, when the pump exploded and sent a geyser of water directly into my face.

Not a splash.
Not a little spray.
A full biblical flood.

I stood there absolutely drenched, questioning every life choice that led me to owning waterfowl.

The ducks watched in silence like tiny feathered supervisors while I got pressure-washed against my will.

I’m pretty sure one of them nodded in approval.

Anyway, here’s a duckling enjoying the fresh clean water that apparently required a human sacrifice to provide. 🐥💦

Some brides want every flower chosen for them.

Others want to wander the garden, fill buckets with their favourites, and create something that feels completely their own.

These bud vases were built with flowers picked fresh. We made a sample together, then she and her group chose exactly what they loved.

If you’re dreaming of event flowers that are beautiful, personal, and a little hands-on, this is one of my favourite ways to make it happen.
