This labor of love was crafted for our dear friend Tracy, featuring her Aria Pro II Cardinal Series Bass. 💕

From start to finish:

The body was sanded back to its raw, stunning wood grain.

Hardware was stripped, cleaned, and revived.

The neck was lovingly conditioned, and frets expertly sanded.

A sleek black stain finish was elevated with silver leaf rubbed into the grain, giving it a one-of-a-kind shimmer.

Sealed to perfection with Dutch oil.

The electronics were rewired for peak performance.

And to make it truly hers: a custom nameplate on the headstock. 🎶

This iconic Aria Pro II Cardinal Series Bass now has a bold new look and feel to match its incredible sound. Tracy, your bass is ready to lay down grooves as unique as you are!

🎶🛠️ Uke Life, Repaired! 🛠️🎶

Another day, another uke saved! This Mahalo ukulele was having an identity crisis—the neck was literally leaving the body! We carefully clamped and reglued it back to life, ready for those sweet school jams.

We’re noticing this as a recurring issue with these models, so if your school’s uke collection is falling apart, don’t fret (pun intended 😉)—we’ve got you covered!

🎸 Custom Build Spotlight! 🎸

This one’s a stunner—a Les Paul-inspired body shape paired with an SG bass neck, transformed into a fretless masterpiece!

The beautiful, one-of-a-kind design? That’s the magic of Lichtenberg wood burning, creating electrifying patterns that make this build truly unique. ⚡🌿

The bass clef design was done using a Dremel to create a faux hollow body look. The k***s were also custom made to match.

Fun fact: The neck was originally fretted, but we modified it to go fretless for ultimate smoothness and versatility. Fret markers were hand made and relocated from their original location. 🎶

WARNING - please do not try this technique without a lot of research and a preplanned funeral just in case. We do not mean that in jest. This is very, very dangerous and known as the deadliest DIY on the internet. 2000 volts are used which is the same amount as an electric chair.

We took on this classic challenge: a typical Gibson neck break caused by a fall. 💔 But no worries—we’ve got it covered!

✅ Neck reattached securely
✅ Headstock completely sanded and refinished
✅ Full setup for optimal playability

Now it’s back in action, ready to rock like it never skipped a beat! 💪🎶

🎸 Custom Telecaster Build! 🎸

This beauty was crafted from scratch for a good friend’s birthday 🎂🎶. From the hand-selected materials to the fine details, every part of this build is 100% unique.

As a personal touch, we added his signature on the back of the headstock and his name on the front, making it truly one-of-a-kind! 🖋️✨

Here’s to many rocking years with this special guitar! 🎉🎶

Update on the Epiphone with the busted head stock. Gluing complete and resin applied to top to fill missing enamel and cracks from the break.

This project was particularly special to its owner, Ken Mccarron ( https://www.facebook.com/kenlorrie.mccarron ) This Custom Fender Tele was gifted after the passing of a dear friend, making its restoration a meaningful experience. The front needed to be completely stripped and redone due to damage found under the pickguard, and the tone pot was frozen in place. Much care and cleaning were required throughout the process. After a thorough cleaning, restringing, and intonation, the guitar was finally ready to play

We at Queen Bee Guitar Repair have been very busy lately with numerous guitar repairs, builds, and speaker cabinet repairs. Below are some of our current projects, and we will be posting before-and-after pictures once they are complete. The dark acoustic literally was found in a ditch by good friend Ernie Aldridge and now that we know the wood is fully dried it’s time to get to work!

One of today’s tasks was a speaker repair. When powered on, only the high frequencies were working.

**Test 1:** Sound check — nothing.
**Test 2:** Ohm meter reading — 0 (it should read something above 0, depending on the speaker).
**Test 3:** 9V across the terminals — nothing (there should be a pop along with static).
**Test 4:** If you press on the speaker, as I am here, and hear this sound, it's a goner. A lead wire or coil is rubbing against the driver. Recone or replace are the only options.
