1967 Gibson ES-335TDC

A fine example of a pre-Norlin-era Gibson ES-335TDC, this largely original 1967 build remains in excellent condition nearly 60 years after it left the Kalamazoo factory. Acquired from a collection in Western Canada during Folkway’s latest cross-Canada “Guitar Pickin” expedition, this ES-335 owes its nicely preserved state in part to having lived a sheltered life in the hands of a single owner in recent years.

This clean and largely original 1967 ES-335 has just listed on our website.

This Regal made Milord pairs a deep-bodied slope shoulder design with ladder bracing, creating a voice that’s dry, open, and surprisingly powerful. Strong fundamentals, airy bass response, and rounded trebles give the guitar a character that feels distinctly its own.

1962 Epiphone Sheraton E-212TN

One of the more uncommon electrics to have passed through our shop in some time, this Sheraton E-212TN is one of very few to have shipped in 1962. While exact shipping totals are not publicly available, and much of the published estimates are incorrect, it’s safe to assume that the number of Natural Sheratons to ship in 1962 without a vibrola unit in in the single digits.

A truly outstanding semi-hollow, this 1962 Epiphone Sheraton is one of the best-sounding humbucker-equipped guitars we have heard in recent memory. The original and unmodified “Patent Applied For” mini-humbuckers offer a dynamic and sensitive response, delivering everything from delicate, airy clarity to full-bodied, powerful output that is just brimming with harmonic content. Don’t let their size fool you—while these PAF mini-humbuckers may be slightly different from their full-sized brethren, they are by no means inferior.

Sporting a classic early 1960s Gibson neck carve with a first fret depth of 0.811”, twelfth fret depth of 0.891” and a 1-11/16” nut width, and a professionally executed refret, the guitar plays effortlessly with a fast yet comfortable feel. Many of the original neck binding nibs were preserved during the refret, and the binding retains its well-rounded feel.

This guitar has just listed on our website.

The OM2H is one of Collings Guitars’ top selling models, which would come as little surprise to anyone who has played one. With its orchestra-sized body and big sound, the instrument is amazingly versatile and appeals to flatpickers and fingerstylists alike.

A pleasingly loud and responsive OM, this Collings delivers plenty of headroom, incredible string balance, and a clean, dry, and forward tone with plenty of sustain.
