We are back in action!! Please welcome Candace as your new Community Director. Common Moms Durham

Hi, I’m Candace Mohammed, the Community Director for Common Moms Durham Region. I’m a proud mom of two amazing girls, Melody and Lilly, and we live in Ajax, where you’ll often find us exploring local parks, attending community events, and making memories together.

I’m a Registered Early Childhood Educator with over 15 years of experience supporting children and families, and I’m also a certified yoga teacher, Reiki practitioner, and Pregnancy & Infant Loss Doula.

I’m passionate about creating welcoming spaces where moms can slow down, build meaningful connections, and feel supported through every stage of motherhood. I believe that when moms feel seen, cared for, and connected, the whole family benefits.

I can’t wait to welcome you to our Common Moms community, where you’ll find play, connection, learning, and a place where both you and your little one can truly belong.

Somewhere along the way, we started wearing burnout like a badge of honour.

We laugh about surviving on caffeine. We apologize for needing a break. We tell ourselves we’ll rest “when things calm down.”
