✨Something new✨

Next on the list of teasers for 2026 is our baby suri alpaca silk lace weight yarn. If you attended the Fibre Fair on December 7th you would have seen our tiny sneak peek of this softer than a cloud base!

Who is this base for? Anyone who wants to play with colour theory by pairing these skeins with any other base. Folks looking to level up a project by holding this yarn double with any of our bases. Makers who want maximum warmth in a lighter than a feather garment by knitting it on its own. Fans of the Ooey Gooey Cowl; create your own kit with 2 lace and one fi*****ng!

✨Something New✨

Now that our final in person event is over we can share with all of you some of the items we were hinting at in our stories! 2026 will be an exciting year around here and we had some teasers for those who joined us in person.

Introducing SPIN YOUR OWN ADVENTURE
-5 separate fibre pieces, 20g each for you to play with however you choose!
-fibre content: 80/20, super wash merino/nylon
-total weight: 100g-ish

Who is this for? Everyone at every level of spinning! Claire is new to spinning themselves and dreamed up this innovative idea that allows you the flexibility to spin these colours up in whichever fashion you choose; spun in any colour order, blended with each other, blended with other fibre; truly making these braids your own adventure. Some are fun coordinating colours, others are contrasting, themed, or gradients.

These sold out quickly at the event so we will be dyeing up some more. We are playing with colours so braids are OOAK for now.

We can’t wait to see what handspun comes from your adventure!

We are so excited to announce that we will be participating in The Beehive’s first Christmas Fibre Fair! This wonderful event also happens to be the grand opening of their new community space: The Beehive Fibre Arts Centre.

Make sure to drop by and visit all your favourite fibre artists. Whether you are shopping for someone else or yourself, you are guaranteed to have a fun filled day of cozy joy.

✨Event News✨

We have been fiercely dyeing behind the scenes and conquering some life-curveballs. The online shop is a bit empty, but luckily you can find lots of our yarns at a few select shops . We will be restocking over the next three weeks and you will be able to shop our yarns in real life at Cowichan’s Fleece & Fibre Fair!

✨Fibrations recap✨

Thank you so much to and for yet another amazing event! This was our first year as a vendor and it couldn’t have been better! Seeing our yarn knit up and walking about was an incredible treat, having engaging conversations with all the fibre folks, gushing over the colour combinations you chose from our tables; it all summed up to make for a wonderful day.

We are recovering this week and will be back in the dye lab soon. We already have next year marked in our calendars and can’t wait to come back with some new items that we have been brewing up.

✨USA SHIPPING ON HOLD✨

You may have heard or seen that there are some big changes happening concerning packages being shipped from Canada to the US. Here’s our update.

Previously our packages were exempt from tariffs according to the De Minimis exemption on packages entering the US. This exemption is ending on August 29th and the information about what happens next is confusing to say the least.

Packages entering the country might be charged a fee; either a percentage of the value or a flat rate. This fee may need to be pre-paid by the sender before the package can cross the border or it may need to be paid by the receiver upon or prior to delivery. Wool is covered by the CUSMA/USMCA agreement and should be exempt from tariffs, but this exemption has not been confirmed.

Unfortunately with this lack of information we have decided to suspend our US shipping until we can get some clear answers. Once we have updated information we can then determine if it is viable for our business to begin shipping to the US again.

We are grateful for our fibre fans south of the border and it pains us to have to put things on hold for you. We will be doing our best to navigate this situation and provide information as it becomes available to us.

✨DYE STUDIO UPDATE✨

Life is about to get really busy outside of CopperSpoon so we will be taking a break from the dye studio for a few weeks. Whatever is in stock will be what is available at Fibrations and the online store for the next month, so if you see something you love don’t hesitate to grab it!

If you are local and would like to pick up your order at Fibrations you can use the code LOCALVIC to zero the shipping fees.

We will update y’all with life news and dye news, and can’t wait to see you on August 17th in Fernwood; look for us on the pavement area!

What an amazing day at Entwined! So many thanks to and all the absolutely stellar volunteers, .art for being my support, the incredible community of vendors, and of course YOU the fibre friends for making this event a spectacular day for the third year in a row.

We loved seeing the projects you’ve made with our yarn since last year, meeting internet folks in real life, being your supply of joyful colour inspiration, connecting with our community (best of luck in the Yukon), and sharing our passion for fibre arts.

We are so honoured to be part of your creative process.

Now it’s time for some rest, restocking, and we look forward to seeing y’all at Fibrations on August 17!
