Britney Slade is a ceramic artist with a passion for wildlife and nature. With a creative journey through mixed media, encaustic, photography, and all types of crafts, Britney's artistic travels always bring her back to sculpting. She's completely in love with clay as a medium and enjoys including mixed media elements as finishing touches. Pieces are whimsical and fun with distinct Westcoast vibes. Available items will include giftable treasures and craveable collection items.

We wouldn't have such a diverse selection of pottery without our hardworking studio technicians and our next artist is a studio tech amongst her many other talents! Meet Katie Dey 💓

Katie is a printmaker who discovered ceramics and got hooked. Her favourite thing is combining printmaking with clay. She works as a casual tech at the Cedar Hill studio and is always inspired to see what is being made in the studio.

TGIF!! And thank goodness it's market weekend! Your local potters, artists, crafters and ceramicists will be ready to greet you at 10am THIS SUNDAY! Beautiful work will be available until 3pm! Nyx is one of the wonderful artists whose work will be featured in the market. Her fine art prints and ceramic vessels are a must see!

Nyx is a Victoria-based visual artist who has spent most of her career as a watercolour painter and illustrator. She derives much of her inspiration from the earth, the intricacies of colour, and a desire to highlight small subtle moments of ethereal beauty that exist in the natural world which may otherwise go unnoticed. She recently expanded her craft to ceramics and has spent the past year exploring and experimenting with clay as a medium, focusing on earth tones and the beauty of simplicity.

Our 2021 Early Bird Holiday Market was so fun and energetic that many vendors are excited to return! Many vendors will only be at Early Bird Holiday Market this year, so you're going to find some unique gifts! Ashley makes unique and lovely handbuilt items.

Ashley is a MSc student at Uvic who enjoys doing pottery as a way of relaxing during her free time. Her work is mostly one-of-a kind and incorporates imperfections to create something unique, funky and surprising. Ashley also enjoys travelling, so her work often reflects the excitement and adventure life holds for us.

If you like nice bottoms, this next artist's mugs are for you! Deidre's pieces are over flowing with her amazing designs. Deidre's work is a crowd pleaser and Early Bird Holiday Market is her only market appearance this year!!

Deidre () makes functional ceramic art for every day use!  She takes inspiration from nature and enjoys playing with colour palettes and shapes.

Life is short and joy can be found in everyday things.  Joy can be found when emptying your dishwasher when your mugs have beautiful bottoms!

Okay art lovers!! We are 6 days away from Early Bird Holiday Market on Sunday, November 20! We have free admission, free and easy parking, handmade door prizes and some beautiful and unique gifts! The fun starts at 10am sharp and there are many amazing pieces available right through to 3pm. Let's have a look at some gorgeous displays from last year! These folks are coming back with many new faces!!

We are totally obsessed with the vibrant colours and captivating stories shared through Caron Smith's artwork! You have to visit her at the Early Bird Holiday Market to scoop up a magnet, print or original artwork.

Caron Smith is an artist working primarily with pastels. Painting en plein air with the Al Frescoes painting group on most Fridays has had a great influence on her work. Something wonderful happens when artists paint together! She also enjoys creating art at her weekly session in the Art Centre at Cedar Hill Recreation Centre studio. Please feel free to look at the paintings on her website at caronsmith.com. Most works can be replicated on a 4x6” magnet – useful and beautiful!

We are so excited to welcome Leo back to the Early Bird Holiday Market this year! Her passion for the craft really shines through in her clean lines and gorgeous glaze combinations 😍

Clay is Leo's favorite art material: it's versatile, fun, challenging and rewarding.
She took her first pottery class at Cedar Hill and immediately connected with this ancient craft. She enjoys exploring the shape and beauty of everyday objects.
