Thank you to everyone who came to say hi at The Papery's 30th anniversary! What started as Sylvia and Valerie's shared love for fine stationery has grown into a three-generation family story, now carried forward by Nolan.

To everyone who has paused at our shelves, found the perfect card for a loved one, or debated fountain pen nibs with us: thank you. You are the reason this shop feels like a community.

Big news for our stationery fans across Canada... The Papery website is officially live!!

We are doing a slow rollout of our stock, starting with a curated selection of your absolute favourites and bestsellers (think cult-favourite notebooks, beautiful fountain pens, and the inks you love). We will be adding small batches of new items in the weeks to come.

While the full, sensory experience of browsing our shelves will always live at our brick-and-mortar shop on Fort Street, you can now bring a piece of that magic home, no matter where you are in Canada.

Did you know we can't ship or receive ink during the winter?

Extreme cold and glass bottles of liquid do not mix, and they will literally explode in transit.

It is why our ink shelves always look a little bare by the end of the season!

Keep your own ink bottles safe and warm when the temperatures drop. For now, we are fully stocked and enjoying the warm weather.

If you are traveling with an inked fountain pen, always keep it in your carry-on bag.

The pressure changes in checked luggage will cause the ink to leak everywhere (and yes, we speak from messy personal experience).
