Very excited to finally be releasing the collaborative video and I filmed. Bohdan has put a lot of love and care into this piece, and it shows. Keep and eye out for it tomorrow evening on bohdans page!

I've been a bit absent, and for those of you who've cared enough to read this far, I feel like I owe you a bit of an explanation. I believe that life has seasons. This last couple months for me has been a very much needed season of simplifying and refining. I've been pushing full steam ahead on the guitar building front for 2 years now, and during that time it's become increasingly evident that I have much to learn on the business and marketing side of things. I needed to take a few months to go through a semester of business courses, I needed to take a step back to learn, and grow.

I'm coming out the other end of this season feeling refreshed and revitalized, with a clear head full of ideas on how to move Harms Guitars forward into the next chapter. The release of this video project is a fantastic milestone for me on that journey, and I'm so thankful for all the people who've supported me along the way.

Onwards and upwards, check in tomorrow,

I've been using headless guitar hardware for a couple years now, and I have to say their stuff is top notch.
~
For those who aren't familiar with how headless guitar hardware work, basically the string runs through the bridge via a threaded brass insert, which the ball end the string sits on. The strings are pulled tight, then thread through down at the nut in a similar way to a floyd rose, but more secure. Turning the k***s on the bridge pulls back the threaded brass insert and viola, you're tuning your tan bridge equipped headless guitar!

I love this system because it's very stable, easy to use, and makes changing strings really fast. There's no fussing with , there's less string to stretch because of extra windings on a tuner, and it gives great sustain because the hardware is so firmly secured to the wood.

New -6 well on its way!This is my first headless bolt on model, and I'm very excited with the results so far.

Spent this last couple days reworking my sentient model jigs with two goals in mind;

1. Making a model with a more approachable price point.

2. Making the access to the 24th fret significantly better.

Budget models, a headless bass, multi-scale, extended range instruments, there's a lot already coming down the pipeline for this year!
What other things would you like to see from harms guitars going forward?

This customer had a guitar they loved the feel of, but not the looks, so I gave it the Harms Guitars treatment. Brand new body based on the Talman ibanez body shape, new woods with a clear matte finish, and a replacement headstock plate to match that beautiful spalted maple top.

Definitely excited to start working on some on my own headless bass designs. I'll make it happen you bass lovers, just you hold on tight!

I believe that the more time and energy you put into something you're passionate about, the more chances there are to have that energy retuned to you. Sometimes that's though monetary means, some times that's though creative inspiration, and sometimes that's though incredible opportunities that present themselves.

Working with and has been one of those incredible opportunities, and I'm very much looking forward to showing more of what we're working on. Final edits are almost done on our first release, a debut solo release from that sounds so. SO. Good. Keep your eyes peeled folks, it'll be coming out soon.
