Join MyPita and the GVTA on July 8, 9, and/or 10, 2026, for engaging STEAM Pro D workshops in Victoria, BC. Learn more and register at https://www.gvta.net/pro-d/steam-workshops. Presented by UBC Geering Up and hosted by the Greater Victoria Teachers Association.

These free hands-on workshops provide educators with practical activities, design challenges, and lesson ideas aligned with BC’s Science and ADST curriculum. Participants will collaborate, problem solve, and explore meaningful ways to bring inquiry, creativity, and real-world learning into their classrooms.
Workshop topics include:
The STEAM Escape: An Educational Escape Room Experience - Grades 5–10
From Ideas to Prototypes: Exploring Design in STEAM Education - Grades 6+
Bridging Subjects Through Design: Engaging ADST Challenges for Every Classroom - Grades 4–7
Workshops take place from 9:30 AM–2:30 PM at the Greater Victoria School District Board Office.

Do you love books, working with children, and creating fun community experiences? We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable team member to help run our school book fairs.

We work with local schools to create exciting book fair experiences that encourage a love of reading while helping schools raise funds.

Location
Based in the Greater Victoria area with travel to local schools.
