My nigella patch happily self seeded itself from last year. I had no idea it would come back so perfectly when I planted my garlic in the same patch last fall. They seem to be getting along just fine, although my garlic is a little small. But I’m blaming that on the soil not on the nigella! 😊 I also tried sprinkling my saved nigella seed in various places, and none of it is doing as well as the self seeded patch. Every year we learn something new in the garden.

As much as I didn’t want to, I had to cut these Astrancia from my garden before the deer got them!! Buggers have been making daily rounds mostly enjoying the brassica patch, but not much I can do until we are fully fenced one day.
