**SHOP CLOSING**
I started Neon Peach Papery 6 years ago when I made my first set of Valentines. I was so excited when they sold out within a few days. I’d always loved stationery, and wanted to make greeting cards that were more truthful, with a little dark humour mixed in for people like me who didn’t like the cheesy Hallmark poems and forest scenes.
I went on to make over 35 designs, took part in over 30 craft fairs, and was stocked in over 40 stores across North America—from New York City to Edmonton, Los Angeles to Halifax, Indianapolis to Toronto and so many more... Hootsuite’s founder bought one of my designs to send out as the company’s Christmas card one year, and Elizabeth Moss (from Mad Men & A Handmaid’s Tale) bought two cards from me to give to her partner. I sold designs to a successful app, partnered with a local startup who made print-to-order cards, and gave countless assortments of cards and totes to fundraisers over the years.
I had soooo much support from my friends and family, too—whether it was working alongside me at craft fairs, sleeving cards, building shelves, helping with my website, silkscreening bags for me, or just sharing my social posts on their feeds. My siblings—Annie & Jeff—helped me come up with several ideas, my partner Rich encouraged me whenever I started to doubt myself, and my mom, Sandra, was always, always cheering me on and just generally being my biggest fan.
Now, with everyone and their cousin making quirky cards, and the business of making things with PAPER feeling pretty wasteful and obsolete to me, I feel it’s time to move on. Not to mention that I have other goals I need room to work on!

I’ll still be doing custom designs over at www.melzee.ca, but will no longer be making pre-printed cards.
