Yesterday at the Attic Thrift Store we honoured Orange Shirt Day, an initiative to commemorate the residential school experience, to witness and honour the healing journey of the survivors and their families, and to commit to the ongoing process of reconciliation.

For the last week of September we offered free orange shirts to support this initiative.

It is with great sadness that we share the news that Susan Dobson from our Attic Thrift Store volunteer team passed away.

Susan volunteered at the store upstairs at Gordon Neighbourhood House on Mondays. Susan will be remembered as a friendly, detail-oriented, and wonderful individual who treated everyone fairly. She often arrived early and would relax in the lobby before her shift, her warm presence will be missed.
