When Love and Death Embrace

Found this little field mouse remnant in the forest and it was shriveled up into 'a perfect circle'... music to my soul... I picked it up and didn't know what it needed to become, until yesterday.

Preserving life and love through the honoring of death is an act of selflessness.
When we can accept a life well-lived has ended, we free ourselves from the pains and chains of grasping.. of trying to hold on.

TRUE love is non-attachment.

The ability to love without clinging, holding, binding.

Release the life and the love will forever remain.

I honour this vision I was given, and cherish the life of this sweet Woodland friend

Antique Italian made brass frame, crushed green velvet, field mouse feet and tail, Oregonian Clear Quartz w/ rainbow inclusions, lilac and pansie funeral bouquet flowers, monkey tree rose w/ gold leaf paint, and so much love and reverence.

With Halloween nearing, I'd like to bring awareness to how Artificial cobwebs harm insects, birds, rodents and more.

Please respectfully don't use this stuff in your backyard or on the fences.
I spent 2 hours picking it off someone's fence last year and there was a dead dragonfly in it.

It's not good for the plants either, and birds have been seen choking on it. I saw a squirrel once with it tangled on its tail.
Please reconsider not using this stuff.
Its very harmful to wildlife and evironment.

Been working on some really special projects lately, utilizing found animal remains.
This is part of my spiritual practice... walking through the deep forest, quietly listening to those who are quietly listening to and watching me.
Taking very mindful steps, doing my best to leave no trace.
I often stumble upon the remains of deceased animals and I ask their spirits if I may take some bones for the purpose of creation and honoring their life through my artwork.
I have yet to be given the answer No.

Isn’t it odd that once upon a time in Europe a woman could be killed for making potions from the plants around her.

Isn’t it insane that once upon a time wise women were burnt or drowned for helping birth babies, knowing their herbs, gathering in groups of more than two, being outside alone, being strong, being beautiful, being ugly, being different, being sexual, being non sexual or touching a nettle, smelling a rose or drinking wild teas.

Isn’t it madness that a woman who knew her body, her mind and her heart was cast aside as evil, as a sinner and her life taken away.

Women, do not let the ancestral memory of this that is held in your make up, in your bones and blood hold you back. Rise dear sweet sisters, rise so that our daughters and daughters daughters don’t have to wonder when we lost our tongues and denied our hearts.

Grow a new tongue, invite the wolf in, awaken the witch and dance under the moon. Embrace your heart, your womb, your gut and your wisdom.

Had a fabulous time vending again at the Art Social on Saturday night.
It was so busy and everyone was really friendly and lovely to chat with.
This darling lady was ecstatic about my furry ears and had difficulty choosing which ones she wanted.
Eventually she decided on these iridescent ears with fluffy white faux fur.

I've got some brand new f***y packs left in stock from vending an earlier festival.
They're all iridescent with 3 pockets, rainbow zippers and quality handmade vegan pompoms in complementary colours.
I designed them with gold coloured zipper-pulls and Keychain rings cuz they're prettier. The PVC is quite reflective and durable, as are the metal zippers which won't warp from the heat or wear like plastic ones do.

Selling for $25 each or 3 for $65
For reference Jean Queen sells them without pompoms for $28 plus tax.
