Thanksgiving dinner at the Salvation Army was, yet again, a gratifying afternoon.
Volunteers were given various duties within the kitchen which included mashed potato mixing, salad preparation - we even learned how to use a bread slicing machine!
As the kitchen flowed from one task to another, tables were decorated for the first of three rounds of resident groups.
We split the duties between the volunteers, some were plating, others were serving the food, the coffee and dessert of course. And all those who came were a served large, almost overflowing plates of dinner!
We all left with with happy hearts and full bellies!
