You heard us!
Apologizing and taking responsibility for your actions is an extremely powerful form of self-care. โจ
Now, weโre not talking about unnecessary over-apologizing - we're talking genuine moments of clarity and understanding, that lead to forgiveness, mending relationships, and letting go of guilt, shame, and anger.
Yes, a true apology requires bravery and the admission of flaws, however, it always leads to progress.
According to an article by INC, taking control of your actions with honest, open exchanges builds trust and confidence.
A.K.A people who understand their role in situations and who are comfortable apologizing to others have HIGHER levels of self-confidence.
So, next time you're debating your 'fault' in a matter, or you feel a pit in your stomach about something/someone, take the time to self-reflect and communicate your feelings to those involved, because this will motivate self-assurance and you will be practicing self-care!
