This is a historic Barber-Surgeons coat of arms, a symbol of a time when haircuts, bloodletting, tooth-pulling, and surgery were all part of the same job.

Doctors in the past really said:
“Yeah… you’ve got too much blood. Let’s fix that.” 🩸

So they used leeches—tiny, squishy blood-drinkers—believing illness came from blood imbalance.

The wild part?
Leeches are STILL used today in modern surgery to restore blood flow, prevent clots, and save reattached fingers and skin grafts.

Medieval? Yes.
Unhinged? Also yes.
Completely wrong? Not always. 😬

This vintage image says “La Vaccine” — and it represents one of the greatest medical breakthroughs in history. 💉🐄

Before vaccination, smallpox killed an estimated 300 million people in the 20th century alone and left many survivors with permanent scarring (or blindness).

In the 1790s, Edward Jenner noticed something interesting: ➡️ milkmaids who caught cowpox (a much milder disease)
➡️ often didn’t get smallpox

So he tested the idea — and it became the world’s first vaccine.
From cows… to saving millions of lives.
History is WILD. 😭

Would you trust the first vaccine back then? YES or NO?
