Okay, so I've been giving a lot of thought to how I would approach this.
As someone who's trying to get her small business off the ground, I obviously benefit from more people doing what this post talks about.
As someone with diminished mobility, I can't help but find this a bit of an abelist post. A lot of small businesses (understandably) don't have any form of online infrastructure where one can purchase gift cards, vouchers, etc.
Also, quite frankly, I don't think there's anything wrong with wanting to get someone the newest electronic gizmo (or whatever it is you can get at Amazon or big box stores that you likely can't find at some smaller businesses) because you know it's something that's going to make that person happy.
So here's what I propose: buy what you want from where you want. If you can get stuff from small businesses, fantastic! If you have some friends and family members who would prefer something handmade and you have the time, energy, ability, and wherewithal to do it, do that. If you want to get your wife a set of new ceramic pots and pans (hint hint 😂), do that!

Yes, small and local businesses really need our help as much as possible. *I* need your help. But this year is stressful enough as it is. Don't be guilted into doing something that's going to add to the stress.

Yall, I need your help. I'm going to be updating my business logo and cover image. As a consumer, how important is the cover image of a business page? How much of a story do you need it to tell? How quickly must that story be conveyed in that image?
