Last week, I had the honour to facilitate a beading workshop with a fantastic group from the Debwewin Truth Project Ally Leadership Council on the topic of the MMIWG crisis.

I always say that the best discussions happen not in the kitchen as the saying goes, but around the beading table. The discussions on this day were nothing short of meaningful. This group leads by example for allies and embodies the shared responsibility of reconciliation by speaking the truth about the history that has shaped the realities Indigenous peoples face today.
