Mamma Oceania Handmade Soap

Mamma Oceania Handmade Soap Mamma Oceania Handmade Soap is based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. We make small-batch handmade soaps My soaps contain no dyes, fragrances, or
preservatives.

And I don't test them on animals. Mamma Oceania™ Handmade Soaps are small-batch soaps created in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. In addition to allergen-free banana extract, each soap bar contains coconut oil, Canadian sea kelp, sweet almond oil, and olive oil—all USDA certified organic, of course. Traditional soaps contain chemicals, such as parabens or phthalates, that can damage your health and the e

nvironment. My soaps are entirely dye, fragrance, and preservative-free. Many soap companies offer you pretty colours created with harmful chemicals. My soaps come without dye chemicals, in a rainbow of eggshell, sepia, and chestnut. Some soap-makers still rely on animal-testing. I wouldn't dream of subjecting the eyes of dogs and cats to such abuse. To make their way in the world, my soaps must rely on their upright character and plain-jane charm. They're perfect for all skin types, even dry and sensitive skin. And they're guilt and worry-free: you and your whole family (including babies) can use my soaps daily without a thought about health risks, harming the planet, or hurting mermaids. Available in exciting shades of
eggshell, sepia, and chestnut

I handmake my soaps using the slow but superior cold-process soap-ing method, in which the soaps naturally cure and harden over four to six weeks. I don't use cheap (and controversial) palm or canola oils. I only use premium-quality, USDA certified organic Olive Oil, Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, and anti-inflammatory Canadian Sea Kelp. Other ingredients: skin-soothing, allergen-free Banana Extract, Collodial Oatmeal, filtered water, and Sodium Lactate ("salt milk," a natural moisturiser and preservative). There are currently eight types of Mamma Oceania™ Handmade Soap:

How much do my soaps cost? A mere $800 (sorry, $8) buys you a bar of my delightful soap at your favourite emporium of quality goods. Considering the thousands of hours of thought, labour, experiment, and luxuriously foamy cleaning and beauty rituals I've invested in my soaps, I really should be charg-ing you $8.25. But I decided to hold back. Once stores can no longer meet the demand for my soaps, they'll become fashionable, and rare. I can then inflate prices in order to pay for month-long trips to The Bahamas, crates of Dom Perignon, and exclusive contracts with mermaid supermodels. JUST KIDDING. A great product at a fair price, that's what Mamma Oceania™ and I offer you. I'm very proud of my soaps. I hope you'll try them in your next cleaning and beauty ritual and beyond. Mermaids everywhere will thank you. Anna

Refuse plastic: refuse the plastic straw, the plastic bag, the plastic knife and fork, the packaging. And, if you really can't refuse, then reuse it. Because here's a sure fact: you can't eat plastic for dinner. And there's more plastic in the oceans now than there are fish. Sushi anyone? Not for long.

In the words of the great Carl Sagan:

Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there-on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.

The Earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena. Think of the endless cruelties visited by the inhabitants of one corner of this pixel on the scarcely distinguishable inhabitants of some other corner, how frequent their misunderstandings, how eager they are to kill one another, how fervent their hatreds. Think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors so that, in glory and triumph, they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot.

Our posturings, our imagined self-importance, the delusion that we have some privileged position in the Universe, are challenged by this point of pale light. Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves.

The Earth is the only world known so far to harbor life. There is nowhere else, at least in the near future, to which our species could migrate. Visit, yes. Settle, not yet. Like it or not, for the moment the Earth is where we make our stand.

It has been said that astronomy is a humbling and character-building experience. There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we've ever known.
