POV: you survive the rainiest, puddliest, most chaotic hut wholesome weekend ever 🌧️🫶

Between dodging puddles, watching event organizers literally vacuum rainwater off the ground, impulse-buying way too many cute things, stuffing ourselves with incredible food, and getting to experience so many amazing performances for Asian Heritage Month… this weekend was one for the books 😭✨

We laughed, we got soaked, we questioned our shoe choices, and somehow still had the BEST time.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, supported small businesses, celebrated culture with us, and made the gloomy weather feel warm anyway 💛

Now excuse us while we recover emotionally, financially, and physically from the amount of snacks we consumed 🥟🍡🧋

This weekend wasn’t about numbers for us. 💛

It was about the smiles, the conversations, the support, the community, the chaos of the rain, the laughter between markets, and getting to celebrate alongside so many incredible people during Asian Heritage Month. 🌸

We met familiar faces, new faces, and got to spend Mother’s Day surrounded by culture, kindness, and people who chose to stop by our little booth and support what we do. That means more to us than we can properly put into words.

Sometimes the best things we “make” aren’t things you can count. ☁️✨

Thank you to everyone who came out, celebrated with us, shopped with us, chatted with us, or even just shared a smile this weekend. We left this market with very full hearts. 🫶

Thank you .welcome.market for taking care of us all through the unknown! It truly felt like a family this weekend ❤️

The Welcome Market is returning to Mel Lastman Square for TWO DAYS of celebrating asian talent and local businesses to kick off Asian Heritage Month! Expect two days of live performances, 95+ local vendors from food to vintage to art, a SUKOSHI Stamp Station, and a Sapporo Beer Garden round out the exciting lineup of on-site attractions.

📍Mel Lastman Square (5100 Yonge Street)
🗓️Saturday, May 9 (12pm - 9pm) – Sunday, May 10, 2026 (12pm - 8pm)
🛍️ 95+ local businesses (food, vintage, handmade, art, curated goods)
