These workshop-style ceremonies have seen upwards of 200+ folks in the last 2 years and I can genuinely say that everyone has mentioned a positive, uplifting, and empowered experience. My goal is to create a safe, encouraging, curious, warm, loving environment to return ourselves to a healthier sense of mortality salience, agency, dignity, acceptance, and grace when investigating our lives. Together, we will attempt to turn our daily awareness toward death from this place with the careful, compassionate investigation of mortality and impermanence through the lens of love, nature and its cycles. hi angels! okay i have to switch the dates for our garage and fixture sale! i’m sorry! it is now

i’m just one teenie tiny we**ie wettle gurllll and my smol baybee b***y hurts. I KID! but really. frig my body hurts and i am a chronically ill + pained human (if you know + follow Likely you know this bc transparency in business is what i’m about, not capitalist forms or workkkkk for $$$$ at the expense of well being). all this to say, i need more time so that i don’t burn out completely and i thank you for your understanding always. just about finished cleaning the dang basement and then i’ll be ready for ya!

for all that i notified about pickups the 15th - 20th — i will still be there. please come and call when you arrive, there will be a note on the door. if you haven’t received a notification yet for your pickup, you will get one soon with your pickup time.

Meghan Mcknight has meant so very much to us here at Likely throughout the years. She has supported us endlessly and we’ve housed her work for some time. We’ve had the divine pleasure of hosting shows for her as well, and we are SO thrilled to offer a final show for her in our gallery space beginning this Saturday. We are closed today as she finalizes her installation and we will reopen tomorrow at 11 for viewing, browsing, shopping Likely’s final days. All of Meghan’s pieces will be for sale as well and they tend to sell immediately so I recommend stopping by as soon as you can to see her incredible work. These paintings were completed just this month — she is incredibly prolific working in many mediums (we also house her photographic collages as well as her AI collage work).

Meghan - you are a shining star and we love you so much.

See you this weekend! Can’t wait to share some new things we will reveal shortly 💜💜💜

our friend kate sent us pictures of her dad wearing some shirts we have through at the shop! the first is available now (radical softness is sold out). if you have a pick of yourself in Likely tee shirts or clothing, send it our way! we’re going to make a cutie reel of all our nice customers over the next while as we say goodbye.

Our Story

Likely General is a Toronto shop, gallery and community space featuring work and ideas by up-and-coming artists, designers and thinkers. We facilitate talks and workshops, sell artist-made goods and our staff is built of friendly, mindful, community-engaged artists.

We opened our doors in July of 2013.

We are very motivated and passionate about responsible consumerism, social change, empathy, and transparency. Our first focus is to provide a home for the artistic work of women, marginalized & non-binary folks. We have a monthly donation budget as well and we encourage you to let us know where you'd like to see our help! If you are an artist, maker, thinker, or creator with an idea, please don’t hesitate to reach out through our website.

Shop online anytime (we ship almost everywhere & offer free local pickup) at likelygeneral.com. There, you can also see what artist is featured in our local gallery space; We have a new artist monthly and opening receptions happen the first Friday of every month from 6-9 in our gallery space unless otherwise stated. You can also sign up for workshops, events, weekly Tarot reading, and of course, shop our goods.
