In light of melanoma awareness month we are dedicated in helping you find the perfect SPF for your skin type and concerns. Sunscreen does not have to involve a thick, greasy and unpleasant application!

On the first Monday of May, we recognize national Melanoma Awareness Day. From Monday May 3rd to Sunday May 9th, we also recognize National Sun Awareness Week. As Skin Therapists, we care deeply about this time. Skincare is our speciality, and we must not overlook skin health while continuing to educate our clients, family and friends to and perform regular skin checks.

Melanoma is the most serious form of skin cancer, and more than 90% of melanomas are caused by UV light from the sun. Skin cancer is also the most common cancer in the world, and can most often be prevented with proper sun protection. Prevention and early detection can help save lives.

During the month of May, keep an eye out for more social media posts from The Humber Spa discussing this topic. We will touch on the different SPF products we love and carry in our retail boutique - we promise to help you find the perfect SPF that you’ll live, no matter your skin type! We will also discuss how to perform an at home skin analysis and what to look out for, as well as some sun protection myths and more!
