Cadwallon: City of Thieves

Cadwallon: City of Thieves is a fast-paced board game of cunning thievery and ruthless skulduggery in a fantasy city steeped in magic and intrigue.

Two to four players each control their own gang of four thieves, competing to amass the greatest haul of loot from the many carefully locked chests scattered about the board.

This is no friendly competition, however, and there is little loyalty among thieves in Cadwallon! The most successful players are as likely to claim their loot from the other gangs as they are to do the time-consuming legwork themselves...

In the card game Race for the Galaxy, players build galactic civilizations by playing game cards in front of them that represent worlds or technical and social developments.

Some worlds allow players to produce goods, which can be consumed later to gain either card draws or victory points when the appropriate technologies are available to them. These are mainly provided by the developments and worlds that are not able to produce, but the fancier production worlds also give these bonuses.

At the beginning of each round, players each select, secretly and simultaneously, one of the seven roles which correspond to the phases in which the round progresses.

By selecting a role, players activate that phase for this round, giving each player the opportunity to perform that phase's action. For example, if one player chooses the settle role, each player has the opportunity to settle one of the planets from their hand.

The player who has chosen the role, however, gets a bonus that applies only to them. But bonuses may also be acquired through developments, so you must be aware when another player also takes advantage of your choice of role.

It’s a time of regrowth in the old urban center, and the hippest and best beer crafters have gathered both hops and hopes in building the best brewery in the city.

It won’t be an easy task, as players compete for precious resources such as malt, hops and yeast in the local markets, all while managing and optimizing their growing bottling empires.

In Brew Crafters, players assume management of a local craft brewery, working hard to manage resources, use their workers wisely, and develop their brewing line to create the best local brews.

Brew Crafters honors the tradition of classic Euro games such as Agricola and Puerto Rico, but at its heart beats a unique brewery processing system that must be constantly improved, monitored and manned in order to keep the beloved beverages rolling off the line.

Each brewery has access to a variety of equipment upgrades, local farms, markets, and a plethora of specialty workers, ensuring a high level of replayability and strategic avenues.

In addition, each player is studiously working to be first to develop several rotating gold label specialty brew recipes that will earn them extra points and prestige at the end of year three when the best local brewer will be honored.

Space Alert is a team survival game.

Players take on the role of a crew of space explorers sent out through hyperspace to survey a dangerous sector of the Galaxy.

The pace of the game is set by 10-minute soundtracks on included CDs (or by scenario cards, if you don’t have a CD player). During these 10 minutes, the crew must defend the ship while it scans the enemy sector.

If they succeed, the ship brings back valuable data.

If they fail… it is time to train a new crew.

Players do not compete against each other. Instead, they work together against the challenge presented by the game.

The difficulty of this challenge can be chosen by the players themselves. Completing the most difficult missions requires close teamwork.

Helion’s Deceit Expansion Pack:
Helion, the Dominator. A former Forcemage, Helion was exiled for trying to explore his powers through multiple sage disciplines. Helion has enlisted the help of the Demon Lord Raxxa in order to take the Forbidden Citadel for himself, but his machinations may have unforeseen consequences.

Raxxa’s Revenge Expansion Pack:
Raxxa, Demon Tyrant. Raxxa’s Riftgate towers over the cursed land of The Blight. With it, the Lord of Demons can call forth a powerful army of hellish beings, but the Riftgate needs power. With the help of a forcemage, Raxxa seeks to corrupt the mighty dragon Draka, and bind the powerful hunter to his will. However, Raxxa may have underestimated the dragon’s rage.

Draka’s Rage Expansion Pack:
Draka, Dragon Tyrant. Draka, the Hunter of Dargothia, turned his back on the Dragonsong to live a life of peace, where only the Hunt matters. But a bolt of dark energy from Raxxa’s Riftgate has turned his mind to ash, and his eyes to fire. Now Draka sees the city of Covenant as a threat, and vows to use his dominion over the dinosaurs to remove it from the land, brick by brick. But first…Raxxa. The Dragonsong is coming to an end, but the Demon Lord will not be alive to hear it.

Markus, Watch Captain. Covenant is his city, and Captain Markus is obsessed with its order. The increased threat from the dinosaurs of Dargothian Valley, combined with the insurgency led by the rebel Paros, has hardened his resolve. He is the Defender of Covenant. He will wipe out all danger to his city, inside and out. Peace comes at the end of his sword.
