in a forest in beaujolais, there's a 1.5 hectare plot where over 140 (!) rare, endangered, native species of grapes grow wild. now imagine protecting and nurturing these vines and grapes, turning that plot into a conservatory of ancient grapes.
and some of those grapes get made into small quantities of wines. that, in a blurb, is this special project from Karine and Cyril Alonso. we're lucky to have a tiny amount of these wines available at and for enjoying inside the beautiful and yes, these are available for consumption at the retail price to make them as within reach as possible.
an intense orange, super interesting reds [is this milk chocolate or gamay], rare s**t, ancestral grapes, lambrusques, that don't grow in bunches but grow individually on trees, some picked from the alonso's home...magic stuff.
i don't want to go on with the blah blah, just come try some in your mouth. 🍇 👄
