Limonium coriarium (sea lavender)
Family: leadwort PLUMBAGINACEAE

Bees, butterflies, and other pollinating insects are attracted to the tiny lavender-blue flowers of the sea lavender, which can be seen blooming in the summer. When in bloom it can reach a height of 60 cm, or 2 ft, tall.

This clump-forming perennial name is derived from the Greek word leimon meaning meadow, which is in reference to the salt meadows it is commonly found in.

Come and enjoy this interesting plant in the Entry Garden. It will be sure to brighten your day with wonder and pollinators!
