When it comes to these intoxicating flowers, categorizing them goes deeper than just the familiar terms indica and sativa. For example; some flowers that are referred to as indica, can be further classified as “Kush”. Kush has a unique lineage that has perfectly adapted to the high elevations and semi-desert like environments of the Hindu Kush mountain range.
Due to the conditions of that kind of environment; they grow larger leaves to help protect the plant from wind damage and to also provide a larger surface area to capture more sun light. Producing a shorter, stockier plant with bulbous shaped flowers and colas.
Typically, the flowers from these Kush varieties have strong aromas of pine, gasoline, earth, spices and skunk. While biochemically, they usually produce medium to high THC levels.
Kush cultivars have gained in popularity since the 90’s for their potency and pungent aromas. Some fantastic examples of Kush that you can find in our store are Organic Maple Kush, Sensi Star, SFV OG Kush and 90’s OG Kush.
