This little guy came all the way from mid century Japan, and he has been waiting patiently for the right shelf. Open mouth catch-all up front, planter pocket in the back. Equal parts sculptural and useful, which is really the only kind of object worth bringing home.

This vintage brass crab is equal parts sculpture and hidden treasure keeper. Cast in brass with a beautifully aged patina, detailed right down to his serrated shell edge and articulated claws.

The kind of object that makes guests stop mid-sentence and pick it up. 🌸✨

This is a 1950s Italian brass party flower ashtray, S. Agudo style, and it is genuinely unlike anything else. Each petal is individually sculpted with ribbed detailing and removes completely to serve as its own personal ashtray for every guest at the table. When the party's over, tuck the petals back in and it closes into a perfect lotus. Two completely different looks, one sculptural object.

This style was so coveted during the mid-century modern era that luxury houses including Gucci produced their own versions. The antique brass patina on this one has developed beautifully over decades. It commands a room open or closed.

Use it as it was intended, or let it live on your coffee table as the conversation piece it absolutely is. Either way, everyone will ask about it.
