Part I : I've been doing this for time and I'm still always amazed at how the artwork goes from a blank white canvas, to some seemingly random blobs of colour, slowly becoming shapes, blending and forming into exactly what I wanted to create.

When it all comes together - I step back and I'm like damn, I made this from nothing, and I still find it so cool.

I like showing the process so others can understand the layers and the journey to complete the work. I gotta laugh when I see some of the first few goes at it, like what is that?!

It all makes sense, by the end of it. 😉👩‍🎨

Never stop dreaming, never stop creating, let the lion in you go free.
🦁😉

*This acrylic monochrome painting I made while pregnant with our 1st child, not knowing the gender at the time. In punjabi culture, his middle name would be Singh (meaning lion). From the moment I hung it on the wall in what is now his room, I felt an aura of pride, calmness, self awareness and safety, like me and my family are being watched over and protected, by one of the most beautiful animals, the warrior, the king of the jungle. All this emitted from one painting, art is a very powerful vessel.*
